Sometimes that’s thanks to luck. Most of the time, it’s because there was a savvy negotiator behind the scenes who found the right deal at the right time. That’s Brian.

He sees things others can’t — like why a small business in an out-of-the-way market might be a key acquisition for a multi-million-dollar healthcare company. Or why regulatory conditions in a particular state make a deal that might not look that great today a real winner over time.

Brian has more than two decades of experience working in the healthcare space, identifying and negotiating acquisitions for national companies like Almost Family, overseeing its largest acquisition to date, and ResCare, Inc. (now BrightSpring), growing it to a Fortune 1000 company. Then he owned a national healthcare mergers and acquisitions advisory company that consistently closed 40-50 transactions annually.

With his legal background, he’s skilled at parsing through proposed payment and program changes. He stays on top of current I/DD rate environments and opportunities and state-specific personal care rates and programs, so even if you’re not looking to sell your healthcare business right now, he’d be happy to talk with you about the markets and what’s ahead for your industry.


Charlie has nearly four decades of experience as a C-level executive, business development consultant and entrepreneur in the labor-intensive service sector.

Charlie has built eight successful service companies over the span of his career. He grew the largest privately-held cleaning company in Kentucky from just 75 employees to 850, serving clients in three states and increasing annual revenues to more than $20 million.  He has vast business operations experience, with a background in supervising operations, developing new markets, hiring and training qualified managers, devising marketing plans, analyzing profit and loss statements and managing costs.

Over the course of his career, Charlie has evaluated multiple businesses for acquisition and has negotiated the sale of several companies he founded, so he understands the unique needs of our sellers and buyers. He knows the experience of transitioning away from a business you spent years of your life building, and he can provide valuable insight and perspective on life after the sale.

He is known for his ability to build relationships with clients, associates and competitors alike, and prides himself on always maintaining confidentiality and diplomacy in the most stressful environments.

Charlie attended the University of Louisville and California Coast University, earning a BS in Business Management.
